NEW: Offsite art workshops for individuals with dementia

The Museum delivers music and visual arts programs once a month at community partners located throughout the five boroughs, reaching senior citizens who can’t physically visit the Museum. The 2019-2020 series runs September through April.

2019-2020 Series
Intrepid’s Stories Within: Look, Listen & Wander

Workshops bring Intrepid's history to life through exploration of the ship's service in the 40s, 50s or 60s. Participants will explore Intrepid's role in World War II, the Space Race or Vietnam War through photographs taken aboard the ship, while listening to the decade’s top tunes. Following a discussion around the images, participants are invited to get creative and construct mixed media artworks inspired by the era.

Offsite art workshops are free but registration is required. To register for the offsite art series, please contact community@i-chaney.com or call 646-381-5162.
